How to Integrate a B2B Buyer Persona with Slack or Teams

I'm calling it a living buyer persona.

I've uploaded data from a client's projects into ChatGPT.

The project was for a software company, looking to expand into the long-haul trucking industry.

Just using some basic queries, you can generate some interesting results

  • Blog outlines

  • Webinar ideas

  • Emails for prospecting

  • Podcast Questions

  • Landing pages

  • Copy for ads

The sales team can even get in on things:

  • Crafting responses to objections in real-time,

  • Personalizing outreach emails,

  • Or evaluating if a prospect matches your ideal buyer.

What's different about this than other AI results?

All the results in this are contextualized with first-party data I collected. How a best-fit buyer thinks and talks about your solution. You can even enrich the data with sales calls, surveys, and any other sources you think are valuable.


So why would you do all this?

First, you get deep buyer persona information instantly, rather than spending time searching for what you need. Your team can build and brainstorm in real-time, and you don’t have to leave a central operating system like Slack or Teams
And all of the data that informs this work is relevant, credible and contextualized, in how your ideal customer makes decisions.

Some caveats:

Like most generative AI work, the output you get is just a starting point. It will need some reworking. But leveraging a tool like this,
creates so many opportunities to speed up your workflow.

There is also an ongoing investment (aka $$). You need access to OpenAI’s API. And some way to integrate the bot, into your Slack or Teams.

It's ranging from anywhere between $20 to $30 a month on average, depending on the usage. And how you set it up. But to have this depth of information at your fingertips is a wildly valuable investment imho.

Finally, it's only as good as the data you put in. Shallow third-party won’t work. You need deep insights to make informed decisions, about your sales and marketing programs.
